Description of the Festival

Porcino is the king of mushrooms, the most requested. There are different varieties of porcino, all characterized by the fleshy hat and the massive stalk, with exquisite fragrance and flavor. It grows in summer-autumn in the bright oak, beech and chestnut woods; it is characterized by white flesh with the surface under the ocher-brown cap, with a grateful smell and flavors. Porcino Mushroom Festival is the most important event organized by Pro Loco Moggiona, which brings to the table various specialties based on porcini mushrooms

FRIED PORCINI MUSHROOMS: Clean and do not wash the chapels that should be cut into large slices, floured and fried in oil. When they are removed from the pan, sprinkle the mushrooms with salt and a little pepper.
